Kane grew up in Truckee. He’s watched the tiny mountain town grow and stretch over the years to the vibrant and flourishing destination it is today. Kane left the snow for a warmer climate in southern California. During his time in college at UCLA, he thrived in many different arenas, including the theater department, the Economics Department and the Varsity Crew Team. He graduated in 2001 and had the opportunity to join the family business, so after 5 years in Southern California, he returned to Truckee.
Growing up in the Sierras allowed Kane to partake in the many activities that he still enjoys today including fly fishing, hiking, backpacking and paddle boarding. Now with two daughters in tow, wife Aimee and dog Pickle, he enjoys sharing his passions with his family. You will often find this active crew enjoying the art of “glamping” with their beloved 5th wheel named Dutchess.
Truckee continues to enhance and expand its community offerings and activities. One area that is thriving is art and culture, from local bands and photographers to performing arts. Kane has contributed to the latter with his love of theater, both performing and directing. You will find him in many of the Truckee Community Theater’s performances and now that his daughters are growing, he’s sharing the stage and passing on his passion for the arts to his girls.
Kane is forward thinking and inclusive in his approach to business. He wears many hats and shows up enthusiastically personally and professionally. In 2017 KJM was created and with partners Jessica Ferguson and Megan Evans. Kane hopes to create another business model within the real estate industry, showcasing teamwork, equality and a fierce determination for excellence.

Jessica Ferguson entered the Truckee-Tahoe area in 2002. Like many, she planned to dip her toes in the area for a couple seasons, only to fall head over heals and make the area her permanent home. In 2005 she became a licensed agent and worked her way up from the administrative side to marketing and sales. She is a force to be reckoned with, dedicated with a strong work ethic and intuitive knack for matching her clients with their dream properties. Relationships have been key to Jessica’s success as she’s earned the respect from both colleagues and clients. Her reputation is just the icing on the cake to her sales stats which have been on a meteoric rise since coming to Dickson Realty in 2014 where her sales have tripled in the last two years, selling over $14 million in 2016 alone.
Jessica was recently described as “PASSIONATE, PARTNER, FLEXIBLE” by colleagues. She embodies each of these attributes fully and has used them to build a successful career including her recent partnership with the KJM team. Her business continues to feed her community spirit as she deepens her relationships with clients outside of the office, in the area she holds such fondness. One of her favorite aspects of the business is the discovery that her clients love to be here and share in community opportunities just as much as she does.
In the winter you will find Jessica on the chairlift at Squaw or on the mat supporting the local yoga studios. Summertime brings her to the trails on her mountain bike as well as to our communities growing music scene with clients and friends. She’s known by many local business owners as an advocate and supporter of “Buy Local”, shopping, dining and enjoying local entertainment and business. With all of her local love and support, she is still finding time to visit her roots in Chicago and North Carolina where her parents currently reside.
Jessica embodies TEAM. Her long-standing reputation and relationships paired with her explosive professional successes and dedication to excellence make her the perfect agent and partner at KJM.

Truckee has been home to Megan for almost 30 years. Now with 2 sons who walk to the same elementary school halls that she once did, she can’t help but feel sweet nostalgia in the “small mountain town” that shaped her love of the outdoors and appreciation of community. Although Truckee and Lake Tahoe look different these days, the heart of the area and passion for nature, fitness and personal restoration have never wavered.
Open water swimming, cross country skiing, hiking, mountain and road biking, camping and inhaling fresh air with her loved ones are the things that bring her the most joy. She loves sharing her vast knowledge of the outdoors with her clients.
Megan also loves to spend time in San Francisco and has a passion for rescue dogs. Most of all, she enjoys time with her family while living on the Truckee River right in the heart of downtown Truckee.
Megan is passionate about and value building relationships with her clients. Her success and business acumen is self-evident.
Where you’ll find Megan outside of the office…
