The hotel offers amenities most others in the area cannot for the same price point, including a pool, hot tub, gym, library, and a business center, that make it a great option. Best part? Best Western is dog friendly!

Truckee Mountain Modern Oasis: Nestled within the Tahoe Donner neighborhood, this gorgeous four-bedroom, 2,700 square foot residence features double height great room, modern, spacious design, and timeless comfort with ample room for 13. In addition to the incredible amenities provided within the house, there are all of the amenities of Tahoe Donner waiting at your footsteps, including cross-country and downhill skiing, tennis, swimming pools, golf course, equestrian Center, Tahoe Donner Trail System, and a couple of restaurants (check out Pizza on the Hill!).
Truckee River Historic Home: Across the train tracks from the main drag of Historic Downtown Truckee is a charming rental house with a lot of history behind the walls. This rental property has been recently updated and comes with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The real showstopper, however, is the deck that overlooks the river. Enjoy a peaceful getaway, while remaining in the heart of Truckee.
Riverside Inn: Historic, charming, and the perfect location, the River Street Inn seems to have it all! We like this hotel option because it sits across the river/train tracks from the main drag of downtown, making it quieter and more relaxing. Attached to the hotel is 1882 Bar and Grill. You’ll be tempted by smells coming from their authentic Texas smoker preparing Tri Tip, Ribs, Brisket, and more. This hotel is “perfect for honeymoons, wedding parties, and romantic getaways.”
Truckee Hotel: The Truckee Hotel is truly located in the heart of Historic Downtown Truckee, which makes it one of the most convenient and exciting places to stay while in town. From the Truckee Hotel, you can walk to about a dozen incredible restaurants, a handful of galleries, and a plethora of shops within five minutes. Whether or not you stay here, definitely check out the restaurant and jazz club on the bottom floor: Moody’s Bistro, Bar, and Beats.
Basecamp: Basecamp Tahoe City is a boutique hotel located just five minutes to the great Lake Tahoe. The small hotel was designed for adventure and relaxation seekers alike, with the amenities and style of a modern resort, but at more reasonable prices. It’s a perfect location for those seeking Tahoe based adventures and a nice cold beer with the locals afterwards.
