February 2019 Update From Truckee, California

Truckee Winter 2019

What a winter! I have to admit, I thought this would be a mild winter after the 2016/17 Snowmageddon and the March Madness of 2018. It appears the joke’s on me as I watch the next storm series roll through with another 8-16 inches projected and our second school snow day of the week just got called today (#9 for the year). I personally can’t complain about sore muscles as I’ve benched my pregnant self this season from any further shoveling or winter activities. If anything, cabin fever and discontent dogs who have paid the price from my inactive lifestyle this season are my challenges.

Working in the real estate industry provides a front row seat to the impact that Mother Nature has on a community during a heavy winter. The damage of broken windows, ice dams, leaking roofs and clients who have to cancel their trips is unfortunately abundant in a heavy winter like this.

One thing KJM offers to clients are the relationships and network we’ve built when unexpected needs arise at your mountain address. From roofers to shovelers and handymen, we do our best to assist in your needs so your worries are minimal and your home is safe.

If you haven’t been able to visit or check on your house recently, please let us know. We are happy to drive by or visit your property for a house check and update you on the status. A little peace of mind can go a long way so please don’t hesitate to use us as a resource as our team is here and happy to help in any way we can.
