Start the holiday off a day early with Atelier’s Brush Lettering Drop-In class to make your special someone a Valentine’s Day card worthy of your Instagram feed. In this drop-in workshop you'll get to test a popular calligraphy and brush lettering markers and pens and take home a set of four stunning love notes! On Valentine’s Day, head to Zuri Coffee for beautiful latte art and yummy crepes to fuel your day. Next, head to Northstar California for a romantic trip up the gondola and gorgeous views of Truckee, Martis Valley, and North Lake Tahoe. Afterwards, get creative together by creating candles at the Villager Candle Shop. Make each other heart-shaped candles scented with unique scents. Be sure to grab complimentary s’mores in the village at 4pm!

Take it easy with your special someone this Valentine’s Day, after all couples that relax together, stay together! While there are a lot of options for great food in Truckee, if you’re planning on hitting the town for dinner on Valentine’s Day, you need to make reservations NOW.

Start the day off with an upscale breakfast menu at Manzanita and enjoy the scenic mountain views from the floor to ceiling windows. Next, head up the mountain for a bit of skiing and Northstar California’s Platinum Tōst. At the Platinum tōst, the two of you can share a special experience at the mountain view bar with private seating, and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, and a charcuterie board, all while cozying up to the fire. For Apres, head to the Truckee River Winery for a special Valentines’s day pairing. The winery will be pairing their great local wine with chocolate. Wrap up the evening with a special dinner menu from Stella at Cedar House Sports Hotel. Start the day by taking advantage of the great winter we’re having by trying a new sport together. Go fat biking at Northstar California or cross country skiing at the Royal Gorge. After a morning spent exploring the trails, explore the sky together. Go on a romantic helicopter ride above North Lake Tahoe for two from HeliTruckee. See the snowcapped mountains of Mt. Rose, the turquoise waters of Crystal Bay, and the beautiful Tahoe Alpenglow on an exciting 20-minute tour, taking off from the Truckee-Tahoe Airport .
