Swooning Over Autumn - An Update From KJM

Fall in Truckee

I’m swooning over autumn.  As I write, I have three batches of sweet and savory pumpkin seeds in the oven, the perfect October treat to enjoy while watching the World Series.  I may be biased as I’m an October baby, but this season is at the top of my list.  Between the stunning fall colors, cute costumed kids and comfortable temperatures to play on the trails, there’s nothing better than fall in the mountains.  Staying true to our eclectic climate, we’ve had our first snowfall of the ‘17/18 season followed by warm enough temps to SUP in a t-shirt.
Kane, Jessica and I have participated in a lot of fun events this month including Truckee’s Historical Haunted Tour, Truckee River Day and the Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner (Dickson Realty won Best of Tahoe for the second year in a row).  Jessica and I also hopped over the hill to Grass Valley where we enjoyed some laughs with Garrison Keillor from Prairie Home Companion (we had dinner at Kane’s Restaurant since he wasn’t with us).  If you are following us on social media, you’ll see some of our favorite experiences as well as what’s coming up in the area.  There is so much to do this time of year and time is passing so quickly, we hope you will find some good resources to shop-drink-eat-play-learn LOCAL.
It’s a reflective time as we near the holidays and the final months of 2017.  It’s been a memorable year for KJM and one full of gratitude for our partnership and relationship.  For those of you who know Dinny Evans, you hopefully know that she too has been harvesting the fruits of her labor with less time in the office and more in her incredible vegetable garden.  We are all reaping the benefits of her hard work paired with passion!
Thank you once again for reading.  Each month we have some fun stories and connections come out of this newsletter and our shared experiences so please don’t hesitate to reach out whether it’s business related or not!
