Kickoff Party and Queen Coronation

Pioneer Cocktail Club Block Party

Join the Pioneer Cocktail Club and surrounding business for an afternoon of outside live music and activities! $15 entry fee for adults, $8 entry fee for kids under 16. This gets you entry to the music as well as one free drink! ALL proceeds go to the High Fives Foundation.

All proceeds go towards the Firefighters Association who works closely with the North Tahoe Fire Protection District to help enhance it's emergency services to the communities of the North and West Shores. Kids $5.00, Adults $8.00

Tahoe City Snowfest Parade

The Tahoe City SnowFest Parade is a mardi gras-themed, family-friendly event that features local organizations with floats, bands, beads, and more! This SnowFest! favorite draws spectators from near and far and is not to be missed. "Johnny B" is our Grand Marshal for 2018. And new this year: the Uni-Cycling Unicorn!

Paint the Snowman

Haus Brewfest

The Haus Brewfest will feature beer from five breweries, food from Men Welding Fire, live music, games, and more! All ages welcome. Proceeds benefit the Shane McConkey Foundation.

Gar Woods' 30th Annual Polar Bear Swim
Date: Saturday, March 2, 2019
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Location: Gar Woods Restaurant, 5000 N Lake Blvd., Carnelian Bay

Hundreds of spectators line the pier and deck at Gar Woods to watch hardy souls brave the frigid waters of Lake Tahoe. Participants swim approx. 250 yards in 39 degree, bone-chilling waters before returning to Gar Woods Bar to "minimize the pain." Free appetizers will be provided following the event and everyone is encouraged to stick around for the hugely popular raffle after the swim. The swim begins at 2:30 pm, and 'warmups' start at 11 am.

$35 entry fee for swimmer. Entry fee goes to the local Sheriffs department!

The Tahoe City Dog Pull

The popular Dog Pull returns! Register your dog, no matter what size! They will pull weighted sand bags according to their size and weight. Prizes will be awarded! Come join the festivities.

Fat Cat's 2nd Annual Hot Wing Eating Contest

Sunnyside's Annual Luau

The Great Ski Race
Date: Sunday, March 3, 2019

Location: start at Tahoe City XC Center

Race the epic 30-kilometer (18.43-mile) course of The Great Ski Race through the backcountry from Lake Tahoe’s premier Nordic center, Tahoe Cross-Country Ski Area (Tahoe XC) to Cottonwood Restaurant and Bar in Truckee. Showcasing views of Squaw Valley, the Sierra Crest, and Lake Tahoe, the exhilarating course climbs for seven miles over 7,700-foot-elevation Starratt Pass, then zooms down giant S-turns and into soft forest glades along Sawtooth Ridge into historic Truckee. Two soup stations along the way offer drinks and snacks. An after party at Cottonwoods serves Sierra Nevada beer, a sizzling hot lunch from Men Wielding Fire, and live music from The Blues Monsters.

Proceeds benefit Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue (TNSR), a volunteer team that mobilizes to rescue skiers, boarders, snowshoers, snowmobilers, and snow bikers lost in the backcountry.

This is a kid-friendly event. Bring your cameras and make some amazing memories. 100% of the $5.00 donations go to the Squaw Dog Foundation. T-shirts for sale, free snacks, and hot cider provided.
