Boot Camp at Tahoe Center For Health and Sports Performance

Shed your winter coat with this 6 week results driven fitness and weight loss program. Boot Camp is designed to help you reach your goals in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Includes:

  • 2 weekly energizing Boot Camp classes lead by a certified personal trainer

Truckee-Donner Community Pool

From SUP Yoga to Aqua Jogging, the Truckee-Donner Community Swimming Pool will keep you fit this spring. There are numerous daily classes and lessons for all ages and swimming abilities. The new facility also offers a lap pool, diving board, recreation pool and waterslides for the kids.

The Bar Effect

Get ready for a full-body burn! If you are looking for a serious toning workout, you must try a class at The Bar Effect. This total body workout lifts your booty, tones your thighs, legs, arms and flattens those beautiful abs. Utilizing the bar to perform small isometric movements set to music, The Bar Effect is the fastest, most effective, yet non-invasive way to change your body and see results fast.

Created with an Orthopedic background, each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to elongate, lean muscle without bulk. It defies gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up. The workout requires such focus that you block “life” out for the 55 minutes, allowing you to obtain the mental benefits achieved in yoga and pilates. The Bar Effect has amazing results in assisting with the rehabilitation of simple injuries to clients with spinal cord injuries.


Rock Climbing at Donner Summit

Located off Old Highway 40, Donner Summit is the gem of Lake Tahoe rock climbing.  From first timers to experienced climbers, there’s something for everyone at this renowned spot — trad and sport climbers alike of every ability will find a variety of challenging and scenic climbs along many granite formations. Within the first 30 minutes you will be feeling this workout!

Rock climbing is an exhilarating experience but it requires proper training and equipment, if you are just starting out, we suggest you join a class offered by Alpine Skills International.
