EAT some tasty treats each Friday of the month at Sierra Bakehouse’s Garage Sale. From 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, the Sierra Bakehouse will bring you their seasonal breads, pastries, and desserts from their shop at 10736 Pioneer Trail. More information can be found on their website.
HUNT for Easter Eggs with Northstar California on the Sunday, April 1. Over 8000 eggs will be scattered across the snow. A countdown will begin at 11am and then the kids are let loose to collect as many eggs as they can! LISTEN to live music in Squaw Valley. WinterWonderGrass Tahoe returns for April 6 - 8 for 3 days of world-class Bluegrass/Acoustic Roots music on four stages, California and Nevada craft breweries and beer tasting all under the snow covered peaks at Squaw Valley. It's going to be an epic weekend bringing together those who love music, mountains and a good time.

LEARN how to make the perfect grilled cheese with Restaurant Trokay and Atelier on the April 7th. This hands-on workshop will be taught by Restaurant Trokay owner Nyna Weatherson, former head cheesemonger at the world famous Greenwich Village cheese shop, Murray’s. Weatherson will pass on her vast knowledge of cheese and skill guiding students through building and grilling the perfect, melty cheese sandwich. Students will talk and taste their way through this interactive workshop while enjoying a glass of a perfectly paired draft brew or wine. CELEBRATE the history of American skiing and snowboarding at the 27th Annual Snowsports History Celebration from April 12th – 15th at Squaw Valley. There will be daily events on and off the mountain, like Slope-Side Meet-Ups, Après, Parties, and Demonstrations, leading up to the Hall of Fame Induction with a red carpet, dinner, and ceremony. GO GREEN for the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival on April 21st. The festival is a non-profit event to recognize, celebrate, and promote the region’s unique beauty. There will be live music and entertainment, as well as a multitude of educational booths on the topics of watershed health, forest health, pollution prevention, alternative energy, waste management, local art and more. Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows will be donating a Mighty Mite/Alpine Ranger team fee for 2018/2019 season with a value of $2799 for a raffle prize. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance. LAUGH at the Truckee Follies 2018! "Base Camp for a High Life." Enjoy 3 hours of Truckee style laughter! This event is one of the longest running Truckee events celebrating community like no other. Proceeds support High School Scholarships as well as Truckee beautification projects, the downtown holiday festival, and year-round lighting of Historic Downtown Truckee. April 26, 27 and 28th. DANCE to live music and eat amazing food at the 1st annual Craw Thaw Music Festival in Downtown Truckee on April 27th and 28th. This FREE New Orleans-inspired spring event will bring a diverse lineup of American roots-inspired musicians, Cajun cuisine, and family fun to historic downtown Truckee. Produced by Crux Events in partnership with the Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District (TTBID) and Moody’s Bistro Bar & Beats, this new inaugural event benefits Moody’s Jazz Camp, a non-profit supporting local youth and music education through jazz. “Truckee is home not only to great outdoor adventures, but a vibrant community made up of people who are passionate about great food, unique music and celebrating spring with visitors, family, and friends,” said Colleen Dalton, brand marketing director for the Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District.
