Truckee is a Destination for Art!

As an active mountain community, there is a lot of emphasis on the outdoor and athletic scene.  In addition to this abundant “outdoorsy” offerings, Truckee is growing up to be so much more complex and diverse than many might expect.

Truckee's art and culture scene has developed so much over the last few years and we are proud to support this growth. Our very own Kane (the K of KJM:) is heavily involved with the performing arts scene, while Megan and Jessica enjoy sitting front row at theatrical performances and live music shows—from weekly concerts at Regional Park, Commons Beach or Kings Beach to more organized festivals such as WinterWonderGrass coming April 6 - 8th.   If you have kids or enjoy supporting our younger community, plan to watch the high school (Truckee High and North Tahoe High) musical performance of  The Secret Garden May 18 - 20th.

In addition, Truckee was awarded the California Cultural District designation in July of 2017—one of 14 in California!  All the California Cultural Districts highlight the cultural legacy of California's most valuable resource—its diversity.
