What's Happening This November in Truckee
Check out the November events in Truckee and Lake Tahoe.
RUN → wild at the 41st Annual Donner Lake Turkey Trot & Mashed Potato Mile, Saturday, November 4. The idea of a fun race around Donner Lake was hatched back in 1976 by a small group of enthusiastic runners who wanted to make room for all the turkey and pies they'd be consuming in the weeks ahead. Today it's still going strong! Beginning and ending at West End Beach, runners and walkers complete a 7-mile loop. It's a fun and sort of wacky race that's held regardless of the weather. The walking component along with the "Mashed Potato Mile" make it a great family event too! The Turkey Trot is a fundraiser for ASC Training Center's junior Nordic programs.
TASTE → the best of the area’s food and drinks at North Tahoe’s most flavorful fundraiser: Passport to Dining. This fall social gathering will take place on Thursday, November 9 at the Tahoe Biltmore. The popular event features up to 35 tasting stations including restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wineries, as well as a raffle and silent auction that features Northern California Getaway Packages and many valuable items. The proceeds benefit the North Tahoe Business Association and Project MANA.
