For the second year in a row, the Town of Truckee in partnership with local businesses has made getting into Downtown Truckee easy and convenient with FREE shuttle service from Truckee neighborhoods, and Northstar!
Soaring above the high desert of Western Reno is one of the most unique events in the North Tahoe area, the Great Reno Balloon Race! In early September this annual, free, three-day festival (only a 30 minute drive from Truckee) marks its 36th anniversary.
It’s no secret that the Truckee and the shores of Donner Lake provide the quintessential 4th of July experience. If it wasn’t enough that Truckee is an incredible destination in July, it’s also home to multiple fireworks shows and a magnitude of 4th of July events.
